Stratford University has an opening for a Software Application Developer in Fairfax, Virginia. The candidate will create reports and develop program integrations as requested and directed by various members of the IT Team. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining application development needs as they arise and as directed per the Chief Information Officer. In addition, the candidate will apply full software development life cycle (SDLC), gather requirements, design, develop, debug, produce, refine, test, deploy and document software systems and applications within assigned time and cost constraints; apply engineering best practices to ensure efficient program logic and data manipulation; act as a technical resource to users, partners and other team members; provide software engineering expertise for multiple software development initiatives; provide maintenance of existing applications; perform independent research and development of technology solutions for integration with current and future systems environment; play an active role in the planning and estimating of team tasks as well as manage web applications, mobile websites, and micro-sites.
The minimum requirement for this professional position is a Master’s degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a relevant field and at least one year experience utilizing the following technology skills: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL Server, C#, PHP, Drupal, ASP.NET and SharePoint.
