Functions

SUMMARY

Serves as Student Assistant to the Librarian and in her absence to other Faculty. Is responsible for answering questions about the collection as well as interacting with faculty, students and staff on how to access databases. Assists students and Faculty with simple troubleshooting of computers and copier. Ensures that the Library is locked up at the end of the evening.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assists Librarian with Library requirements.
  • Greets and assists students. Ensures that headphones, staplers, paper cutter and any other non-consumable supplies are returned to the Library office.
  • Maintains timesheet.
  • Tracks library usage making sure users sign-in, and that no children, food or cell phone usage occurs.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned. If full or part-time staff are ill will fill their timeslots as available.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have good computer/word processing skills, well-developed oral and written communication skills.
