Overview: 

 

 As an inspired international student of Stratford University, you are uniquely what we are searching for to fill this position. You will be given the opportunity to gain job experience, while helping shape Stratford University. Greeting visitors with a smile and a warm welcome are essential for this role.

Functions

  • Welcome all visitors and address any inquiries
  • Joyfully complete assigned administrative duties
  • Be the student ambassador for the International Student Office
  • Report to assigned supervisor at scheduled work times
  • Type, file, copy material assigned and make necessary photocopies on copy equipment
  • Fax material from facsimile equipment as assigned
  • Separate and label outgoing mail as assigned
  • Assist in time-stamping and separating incoming mail as assigned
  • Be cordial to students, faculty, staff and visitors entering the office
  • Scan and be able to arrange e-documents in order
  • Answer /screen telephone calls and responds promptly and courteously to all phone calls
  • Demonstrate courteous communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Assist ISO with international student events
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Office environment

Qualifications

  • Current Stratford University student
  • Completion of the 10-week Stratford University English Enhancement Program is required (concurrent enrollment during employment is acceptable)
  • Must be in good university standing both academically and financially
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to speak a foreign language strongly desired
