The Campus Director assists in fostering a culture of growth and operational efficacy among students, and staff. Campus Director is responsible for budgetary oversight and institutional growth of the campus. Campus Director will work in a collaborative manner to develop productive relationships with other Campus leadership throughout the university as well as external constituencies, as necessary, in order to fulfill job responsibilities. The Director will play a critical role leveraging their interpersonal and presentation skills and understanding of the University’s enrollment goals by designing and implementing effective outreach, recruitment, admissions and marketing strategies for prospective online students. The Director will continuously seek out traditional and entrepreneurial approaches to increase student enrollment to distance learning and build internal/external partnerships that are aligned with learning at the Online Campus. The successful candidate will develop and implement outreach programs that drive prospective students to become applicants and ultimately matriculate to Stratford University. In conjunction with the Online Associate Dean, the Campus Director shall lead the campus’ enrollment goals and initiatives, and retention goals while supporting current and future accreditation standards.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and implement entrepreneurial strategies to boost online enrollment.
  • Supervises trains, manages, and evaluates all Admissions personnel and provides guidance on their professional responsibilities.
  • Works closely with the Corporate Director of Admissionsto set enrollment targets and develop and implement specific processes for the timely processing of applications.
  • Develops and implements strategies and processes for the entire application life cycle from interest through enrollment, including nurturing leads and admitted applicants.
  • Ability to attract, develop and lead a high performing operation teams.
  • Work closely with Academic Leadership to meet annual expected student retention, growth, accreditation requirements, and coordinate appropriate evaluation of these efforts
  • Promote a culture of growth and sustainability initiatives amongst staff and students across the campus
  • Campus Director of Online is responsible for the prudent management and control of Campus physical resources.
  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership Team to ensure strategic direction for campus in retention, enrollments, and academic best practices
  • Build effective partnerships with local organizations and advisory groups to support growth and sustainability efforts to include student job placement upon graduation
  • Interface with counterparts at other Stratford University campuses
  • Identify, seek, and secure corporate partnerships to support academic programs and leverage campus resources to further propel academic quality, growth and sustainability efforts
  • Deliver campus messages to external constituencies about academic programs, growth and sustainability and serve as a campus spokesperson on academic issues.

  • Demonstrate a strong blend of operational leadership and entrepreneurial sales/business development experience
  • Ability to foster collaborations across diverse constituencies, inspire confidence, and motivate groups to collectively meet common objectives
  • Possess substantial experience in participatory leadership
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfort with public speaking, ability to listen and learn and engender trust among various constituencies
  • Experienced in relationship building, with proven ability to create external partnerships that are aligned with the learning objectives of the Online Campus.
  • Skilled at problem solving, thinking analytically and developing programs that advance the university’s strategic objectives and mission
  • Strong skills for sustained measurement of academic program outcomes, ability to work independently with and through others to achieved desired results
  • Ability and confidence to handle campus emergencies and crisis situations
  • Recommends and participates in the development of university policies and procedures


Required Education and Experience:

  • An earned Master’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5 or more years of senior level leadership and experience in higher education
  • Candidates with Online experience will take precedence over applicants without the same level of experience
  • Significant experience in the development and administration of budget, personnel management, strategic planning, and the use of technology in higher education.
  • Strong leadership experience, able to foster collaboration across diverse constituencies and inspire confidence and motivate groups to collectively meet common objectives.
  • Experience in admissions at the graduate level highly preferred.
  • Ability to demonstration previous success taking entrepreneurial approaches to increase student enrollment to distant distance learning and build internal/external partnerships
  • Experience marketing academic programs with ability to use persuasive sales/marketing techniques.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship building skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels, facilitate decision making and conflict resolution, maintain a positive and constructive demeanor treating all staff, students, faculty and vendors with professionalism, courtesy and respect.

·        Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • University Campus Environment
  • Will require sitting for long periods of time, in addition to standing, kneeling, and walking through the campus on a regular basis.
  • May require prolonged periods of utilizing a telephone, and looking at a computer screen
  • May require long hours, to provide support to faculty from morning classes to evening classes
  • Local travel to University Administration, Meetings, Conference and other local campuses will be required.
  • Overnight travel may also be required
