    The receptionist is responsible for greeting guests, screening calls and providing basic administrative duties for the campus staff. Acting as the first point of contact and “face” of Stratford University, the receptionist will be polished, personable and have excellent time management skills. Responsibilities include meeting guests in a friendly, welcoming manner; answering calls; maintaining conference schedules; reconciling expenses; updating spreadsheets; managing a filing system; distributing mail; and other duties as assigned. The receptionist is also expected to have a strong customer service focus while attending to campus leads and tracking inquiries.

    Functions

    Essential Functions: 

    • Greet vendors, customers, job applicants and other visitors, and arranges for transportation services, when needed
    • Route incoming calls and place outgoing calls
    • Handle mail & shipping logistics for the office
    • Accurately input data and manage incoming and outgoing reports
    • Order supplies and maintains kitchen and office areas
    • Schedule appointments and prepares conference rooms for meetings and presentations
    • Direct employees and the general public to the correct destination
    • Prepare memos and interoffice letters and/ or documents
    • Maintain schedules and appointments for office
    • Track campus leads, admissions and inquiries
    • Draft letters of acceptance and compose other academic related documents
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree is required
    • 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative capacity
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, Outlook

    Work Environment and Physical Demands:

    • Office environment
