    The Manager, Accreditation & Licensure acts as independent review and evaluation specialist to ensure that accreditation and other academic regulatory/compliance issues and concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved through campus audits and other effective method. He/She additionally reviews regulatory standards to ensure that the University policies and procedures are current and relevant. The Compliance Manager is also responsible for analyzing and editing information for various regulatory projects as well as managing the staff within the department in order to ensure compliance is maintained.


    • Develop and implement an academic compliance program that meets policies, procedures and standards of federal, state governments and accreditation bodies to include, national, regional, and specialized accreditations
    • Create a yearly “Compliance Plan” in order to assess and prioritize compliance-related functions the department must carry out
    • Create a “Compliance Checklist” to be used to prepare campuses for every type of compliance audit as well as a “Compliance Hit-List” to record all areas that are consistently out of compliance in order to develop best practices on how to eliminate those areas
    • Reporting on a regular basis to the CAO on the status of accreditation of each campus
    • In conjunction with Campus Deans and Directors, review, edit, and submit Part 1 and Part 2 accreditation applications that meet accreditation standards
    • In conjunction with Curriculum Development Specialists and Advisory groups, review, edit, and submit new program applications and modifications to existing programs applications that meet accreditation standards.
    • Revise the compliance program in light of changes in the needs of the organization, and in the law and policies and procedures of government and accreditation bodies
    • Visit campuses and conduct audits in preparation for accreditation site visits with the goal being no major citations found by accreditation site team members
    • Assist new campuses with the development of internal compliance checks
    • Respond to government investigations, accreditation commission reports and inquiries, and other queries as the principal point of contact, after frank and open discussion with the VP Of Accreditation and Licensure
    • Conduct yearly audits of each campus to ensure continual improvement
    • Direct compliance training once yearly for all Stratford employees

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
    • Familiarity with regulatory guidance pertinent to for profit education
    • Five to seven years demonstrated experience in a professional environment
    • Advanced knowledge of accreditation and university academic rules and regulations
    • Experience with ACICS, ACCSC, SACS, ABHES, ACF preferred. 
    • Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Suite and database design a plus
